PURPOSE OF OUR COUNCIL
The purpose of the School Community Council is to improve student achievement and to enhance the accountability of the education system to parents. The Council's primary means of achieving its purpose is by making recommendations to the principal of the school and the school board. Principals and boards are responsible for considering the recommendations made by each school council and for advising the council of the actions taken in response to these.
MEETINGS
Our meetings are usually held four times per year at the school or virtually by MSTeams. All meetings are open to the public. Individuals may request items be added to the agenda by contacting the council chair or the school two weeks prior to the meeting date.
HIGHLIGHTS
It is the role of the School Community Council to review policies and procedures from JDSS and Bluewater District School Board. It is an opportunity to learn about events going on at JDSS and to ask questions.
